Flying Horse

Something exciting happened last night. I received a mail from an ex colleague asking me to relief teach at the learning centre she works at during the weekends. So this morning, I had to wake up to a “job.” It was just for three hours. And it was with babies. About six of them. Which I normally wouldn’t really like because they’re not verbally responsive. But it was nice to be in a classroom again after so long and to sing and dance. Time seemed to move really slowly though. But that’s okay.

Anyway, the owner of the place says she’s looking for teachers to teach for three hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Which is perfect. Because she’s not being pushy about me staying longer and working a full day and all that. Nothing’s confirmed for now though. Plus I have a few more interviews coming up. Thank you all so much for being so kind and giving me words of encouragement about this whole finding  the right place thing.

After the session, I walked around town for a while. Yes, the school is right in the middle of the town area – where all the shopping malls are. Which is great, because that means I’m spoilt for choice when deciding what to have for lunch. Also because it’s smack in the middle, between home and where I have to go for my play dates.

At home I had a quick chat with my cousin in Dubai. Then I watched a few Bollywood videos. I watched Shah Rukh Khan/”King Khan” perform at an award function. He is one of the most popular actors in the Hindi film industry. I LOVE his grand entrance for this performance:

He flew over the audience on a horse with wings to one of the most popular/romantic Hindi love song. I’m not sure if that was what it was meant to be – or a unicorn which they forgot to horn. Talk about a grand entrance!
