The Time Has Come

By six thirty in the evening today, I’d be at the airport possssibly crying my eyeballs out, giving  my cousin one last hug before I see her again in seven months or so. I think I’ve mentioned earlier that she’s leaving for Dubai because her husband was offered a job there quite unexpectedly just a few weeks back.

For many years as a child and teenager, I used to live with her  family. She and I shared a bedroom. Eventually I moved back home but we often met and I’d sleepover her place sometimes. And when I say”often met” I mean practically every other day. Oh and we even used to work together – she used to be my principal when I first started teaching.

In the last four weeks I’ve been spending 85% of my time with her and now it’s about to end with a  long pause before we can get together again. I stumbled upon this on Facebook and thought I’d add it here even though it doesn’t appy much to this particular situation but it’s related.

    That’s a good advice!
I’m very sorry!!!! She is like a sister to you. But you can still talk to her! She isn’t completely out of your life. I know that this doesn’t help so much today. Enjoy the last day with her!! Maybe she’ll come back someday!

Hope you can chat on Skype. It does make the distance seem much less. :)
