Kampong House

Today it FINALLY stopped raining in the afternoon. And I FINALLY had reason to head out – had a playdate scheduled at 3. Which means I had to reschedule my nail parlour appointment. But that’s okay.
So, the kids in K2 something something (don’t remember what the class is called exactly) are currently learning about different types of houses. Mum called me up the day before to ask if I could make an *attap house with my play-datee. Â Here’s what we came up with. The boy decided to use straws and to make a backdrop of “a very sunny day.”

I’ve always enjoyed artsy craftsy stuff and glad I have 3 grand children that need help with school projects all the time.

Same here! About the art part of course not the 3 grand children bit. Heh. And I love that I get paid to be creative and messy. =D One grandparent made a really cool barn and igloo last week too apparently.

Why thank you. *flicks hair pompously* I think so too Al. Haha. But nah. The kid gets the credit. I only helped to put the cardboard pieces together and do the cutting. The roof, the backdrop… That was all the boy’s idea. =D
