Girl's Day Out feat. The Doors

My new nails, new boots, new ring, new backless top and old stack of bracelets/bangles.

My cousin and I spent about 4hours at the parlour.  That’s 240minutes! I honestly don’t know how we did that! Oh. And at one point while we were getting our nails done, the local radio station started playing “Light My Fire” by The Doors. As you can imagine, I freaked out. Which freaked the manicurist out. Haha. That was the first time EVER I heard their song played on radio. And guess what, the DJ started talking after the song ended. Something like, “That was The Doors with Light My Fire, you’re tuning in to 98.7FM – the only radio station where Justin Beiber is NOT allowed.” Haha. I thought that was hilarious. Not that I have anything against JB. Oh yes, when I got home, the ad/trailer for the next episode of Once Upon A Time was on TV (side bar: I just learnt that the name of the actress who plays Emma is Jennifer Marie MORRISON). Anyway, as I was saying, the trailer was on and the background music was “People Are Strange.” =D That was my second favourite song after Roadhouse Blues for a LONG time.

Okay. Since I’m rambling on and on about the band again, I thought of sharing this article I found some time back. I can’t remember where it’s from. Tumblr? Maybe. I LOVE the writing! So true! I’ve always thought there was something mystical/drawing/orgasmic about their music. For the lack of better words. Have a sniff.
